Wanderer of the Week: Hannah S.

From Hospital Rooms to the Eiffel Tower

For most of her childhood, getting in the car meant another hospital visit. Then one day, Hannah dreamed of going somewhere entirely different.

Born at just 25 weeks, weighing 1 pound, 12 ounces, Hannah spent five months in the NICU. By age 23, she'd undergone more than 100 surgeries.

But her love for adventure never faded.

When Make-A-Wish asked 15-year-old Hannah what she wanted most, her answer surprised everyone.

"I want to go to Paris."

In August 2019, that dream came true.

She tasted macarons at the Eiffel Tower, admired the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, and cruised along the Seine.

For her mom, Jennie, those five days meant something even greater.

Paris showed Hannah that her medical challenges didn't have to define what was possible.

Today, Hannah treasures her Wander Club Tokens, adding new destinations to her birthday and Christmas wish lists. And she's already dreaming of Scotland with her sister.

Jennie and Hannah, thank you for reminding us that sometimes the greatest adventure is discovering what we're capable of.

What journey gave you the courage to dream bigger?
