A Bittersweet Baseball Journey
For Teresa’s family, baseball has always been more than just a game. Her father and her son shared countless memories together at Detroit Tigers games, and over time, her son grew to love the sport just as much as his grandfather did.
Teresa’s father had always wished to see the Tigers at spring training. Four years ago, her son made that happen — and fittingly, the game was between the same two teams they had watched at their very first ballgame together.
That trip, however, became bittersweet.
"It was a bittersweet trip because we all knew it would be his last."
Her father passed away from lung cancer just a few months after they returned home. While the family knew it would be his final adventure, it was filled with joy, love, and the fulfillment of a cherished wish.
Carrying on the tradition, her son has already begun bringing his daughter to games — starting when she was just two years old.
Through these moments and The Wander Club's MLB Stadium Tokens, Teresa’s family continues to honor her father’s legacy, keeping the love of baseball alive across generations.
