Miles of Love: Bill & Logan’s Story

What if every mile you ran carried more than just distance… but love, strength, and unwavering dedication?

For Bill and Logan, that’s exactly what every marathon represents. This isn’t just a story about running. It’s a story about a father, his son, and the extraordinary bond they’ve built mile after mile, race after race.

Logan is 27 years old and lives with profound developmental delays. From a very young age, Bill made a choice that would shape both of their lives: he would bring Logan along for the journey.

Not just in spirit.

But in every single step.

For years, Bill has been pushing Logan in races, turning what could have been limitations into something powerful and full of possibility. And over the past six years, they’ve taken that commitment even further, competing in full marathons together using a special needs push chair.

Every finish line they cross is not just an achievement. It’s a shared victory. A celebration of teamwork, resilience, and unconditional love.

To honor those moments, their family began collecting a token for each marathon they complete together. Each one represents more than a location. It holds the memory of the race, the effort behind it, and the bond that carried them through.

Their journey has already taken them across the world.

In 2024, they completed the Berlin Marathon, an international milestone that marked just how far their story has reached.

And this year, they set their sights on something even bigger: the Tokyo Marathon.

Just ten days after sharing their story with us, Bill and Logan traveled to Japan to take on the challenge together.

And they did it.

With the support of three dedicated helpers who ran alongside them the entire way, they completed the marathon as a team, surrounded by encouragement, strength, and community.

Another finish line. Another powerful memory. Another token was added to their collection.

But what makes Bill and Logan’s story so special isn’t just the races they’ve completed or the countries they’ve traveled to.

It’s the meaning behind every mile. It’s the quiet determination of a father who shows up, again and again. It’s the joy of a son who gets to experience the world in a way that many would never expect.

It’s a reminder that adventure doesn’t always look the same, but it’s always possible.
