One Mountain at a Time, One Memory for a Lifetime

Some of life's most unforgettable adventures begin with a simple wish: to spend a little more time with someone you love.

For Emily and her daughter Kate, that wish turned into a summer tradition of hiking trails, conquering mountains, and making memories before Kate returned to college.

It started in 2024 with Colorado's challenging Manitou Incline. Every Friday, they tackled a new trail together, preparing for their big climb. By summer's end, they'd accomplished their goal and discovered something even better: a tradition worth keeping.

The following year, they set their sights higher. Literally.

Kate chose Mt. Elbert, Colorado's tallest peak, standing at 14,438 feet. Despite summiting during the season's first snowstorm, they made it to the top together.

Then came their biggest adventure yet: Yosemite's Half Dome.

After Emily's permit application was denied, Kate's was selected. Months of training led to a grueling 17-mile hike, ending with a steep climb up the famous cables.

It was exhausting, intimidating, and absolutely unforgettable.

But for Emily, reaching the summit wasn't the most meaningful part.

It was everything they shared along the way.

Since Kate first left for college, Emily has collected Wander Club tokens to commemorate her daughter's adventures and milestones, from her first concert at Red Rocks to their mountain summits.

She even purchased Kate's Half Dome token before they completed the hike, believing they could do it together.

Today, that token holds a particularly special meaning. It's a reminder of their determination, their bond, and the precious time they've spent side by side.

And as Emily wonders what adventure Kate will choose for 2027, one thing is certain: another memory is waiting to be made.

Emily and Kate, thank you for reminding us that the greatest part of any adventure is often who we share it with.
