The Places We Keep Coming Back To
Some family traditions are planned.
Others begin with a surprise.
For Emily and her family, it started with their first international trip together and a gift from her mom: Wander Club tokens to remember every country they were about to explore.
And they were ambitious.
Italy. Greece. Albania. Three countries in two weeks, or four if you count Vatican City.

It was exciting, unforgettable, and perhaps a little too ambitious.
But that first adventure sparked something.
Their next trip slowed things down as they explored Scotland, Wales, and England, with a day trip to Versailles, France. Then came another journey through Paris, Germany, Austria, and back to a place that had already captured their hearts: Italy.
“We loved our past time in Italy so we keep coming back.”

This time, they started among the breathtaking peaks of the Dolomites in Bolzano and slowly made their way down to Rome, taking side trips and discovering new places along the way.
But Emily’s collection holds memories from before those family adventures, too.
Before their first big international trip, Emily and her mom traveled together on a weeklong mission trip to Haiti.
That’s why, when Emily looks at her tokens, she doesn’t simply see a list of countries.
She sees her mom.

She sees the excitement of that first ambitious adventure, familiar places they couldn’t resist returning to, train rides through Europe, days spent exploring somewhere new, and a family learning how they like to experience the world together.
Each trip has been different, but the people beside her are what make those places worth remembering.
And with every new adventure, the collection her mom started as a surprise keeps telling more of their story.
Emily, thank you for sharing your family’s adventures with us and reminding us that sometimes the places we treasure most are the ones connected to the people we love.

What place will always remind you of someone special?
