Some of life's greatest adventures begin with an unexpected chapter.
For Anne and her husband, one of those chapters started with a move across the Atlantic. From 1998 to 2005, they called Europe home while her husband served with the Transatlantic Council of the Boy Scouts of America, helping American families overseas stay connected to Scouting.

What began as a work assignment quickly became the adventure of a lifetime.
Living in Belgium placed countless countries just a train ride or road trip away, and they embraced every opportunity to wander. Each destination brought new cultures, unforgettable experiences, and memories they still treasure decades later.

Today, Anne's Wander Club collection isn't simply a record of where they've been. It's a collection of moments that instantly transports them back to those incredible years.
One memory still makes her smile.
When they moved into their apartment in Zaventem, Belgium, Anne ordered white pleated window shades from J.C. Penney using the U.S. Postal Service privileges available to them overseas. She installed them in 2002 before they settled into their new home.
Years later, she searched the address on Google Maps and couldn't believe what she saw.
The same shades were still hanging in the windows.

It's a small detail, but one that perfectly captures how the simplest things can become lasting reminders of a season of life filled with adventure, purpose, and discovery.
That's what makes every Wander Club token so meaningful. Behind each one is far more than a destination. It's a story waiting to be remembered, shared, and passed on.

Anne, thank you for inviting us into such a special chapter of your life. Your journey reminds us that travel isn't just about seeing new places. It's about embracing the unexpected, cherishing the people we're with, and holding onto the memories that continue to bring us joy years later.
What story does your collection tell?
We'd love to hear it. Share your adventures through our Wanderer of the Week form, send us a DM at @thewanderclub, or email hi@thewanderclub.com for a chance to be featured in a future Wanderer of the Week.
